Monogrammed: Alphabet Soup

Since I'm on a bit of a style kick here with my blog posts..thought I would add one more post on all things monogram. If you hate monogrammed items and think it's all annoying and obnoxious...you may not want to read this post. I, however, love to have a few things monogrammed such as basic canvas totes, cosmetic bags, vests & koozies ....to name a few.
I recently discovered an adorable monogram boutique called Alphabet Soup (located off Sharon Rd.). They have such various items you can purchase and are all reasonably priced. I had a hard time only picking a few items, because many of the bags sported subtle colors ..which in monogram world isn't very common..but something I love. It's nice to take a break from the hot pink/mint green combo.
I ended up going with a Koozie (6.00), tote bag (30.00) and a cosmetic travel bag (10.00). All the monogramming starts at $8 and goes up from there depending on how big you want it displayed. They had my order ready in about 2 days and I couldn't have been more happy about it!
Be sure to check them out and stop by if you are around the area! Here are my items I purchased pictured below!

Style Post: 10 Jcrew Looks to Love

It's been awhile since I've talked about one of my favorite stores (there's a handful of em)...Jcrew! I know they are a store that's been around and always is somewhat popular, but I'm guilty of loving majority of the items they sell.
This time of year I love getting ideas on what their spring line will be, and how they transition from winter looks to more floral pieces.
I decided to gather my top ten favorite new items they are selling ...and of course share so you can go get them for yourself!  I am really loving that "girl next door" look with printed tees and a-line skirts. I also love chunky jewelry pieces paired with a simple top or sweater.
Seems they have gone a bit Downton-Abbey/Great Gatsby with their formal wear. Loved the crystal feather hair pendant (which screams flapper era ..in my opinion). Just have to find a fitting occasion!
Of course I added the beach towel in case you need a new one for the beach days ahead and spring trips to places like OBX (I get so excited thinking of my tush in the warm sand under the sun...soo nice).
Hope you are looking forward to warmer days like I am! Enjoy these looks and I give you permission to spoil yourself ;)!

Freedom Park: Fresh Air + Photos

Corey and I both really needed to get outside today and get some fresh air after a stressful/annoying week. Even with it being completely freezing, sometimes a walk at the park does everyone some good and usually helps alleviate the bad moods. We decided to take Brody to Freedom Park (a favorite of ours) and take some pictures (with the Nikon that I currently am not a fan of).
I love that this park is typically very serene in the winter season and filled with life in the summer. A nice place to escape to (even if it's only for 30 minutes or so). I also had to capture some photos of the snow on our walk ...considering it may be awhile until we ever see anymore again. Here are some of our photos from the park.

Shop: Lemons & Lace

Just received my Lemons and Lace purchase and I am in bowtie/headband fever! I love this look for spring and think it makes any bland hair day look incredibly better. It's also very fitting for a top knot or with some loose curls.
I hadn't really planned on using the bowtie for Brody but I kinda couldn't resist! The headbands (that are pictured below on me) are called "Lucky Lady" and "Vanilla Blush." The bowtie is called "Handsome Houndstooth" (I love that each headband and bowtie has a fitting name). Headbands are all around 11.99 and the bowties are about 8.99. They are well worth it though because you can customize your own headband for a special occasion or just for everyday wear! They are super comfy and stretchy too which is always a plus..especially if your thinking of getting some for your little ones! Here is their home page with some examples of their products! (Is it not all ridiculously cute?)

The baby and toddler headbands are so cute and the beauty of Lemons and Lace, is that they have matching ones for adults and little ones. I will most likely be that mom (one day) that does some sort of matching or color combination with my child (especially daughter) ....BUT many years until then!
Anyways, hope you check their website out along with their Instagram @lemonsandlace. They are always posting new styles and sometimes have specials!
When your twenty something these headbands could never look better! Enjoy!
