Rock Climbing: Inner Peaks

Today, Corey and I both had a free day (pretty much) which is rare for us! Yesterday I had found a pretty great Groupon for a rock climbing session that was only $23 for 2 people (steal right?). We are always checking Groupon, Living Social and Amazon Local for great deals on outings and adventures at an affordable price. We have found mountain trips, dinner date deals and adventures like rock climbing all under 100 bucks typically.

After realizing we just had a little reading (Corey is about to start commercial real estate next week).... and a few emails to send (still job hunting/nannying) we decided that it would be a great idea to go rock climbing. Inner Peaks is where we went and it was only about 15 minutes away. They showed us how to boulder (climb without being harnessed) and how to use all the equipment. It was a little scary at first but then we really got the hang of it. I made it to the top several times on different walls which gives you such a high once you have made it to the top. Corey has done this before so for him it was not to challenging.

We did some bouldering too, which seemed to be Corey's strong point. I, on the other hand, was not to great at that and found myself falling pretty quickly after attempting. But it was well worth it to try it out!

They also had a rope you could try walking across and balancing on which was so so hard! Corey and I both tried to do it but it was not only a physical task but mental as well. You have to look and keep your focus straight ahead. The moment you look down you will loose stability and fall (this happened a few times...).

All in all, we will for sure be going back in the future or maybe next week! They offer yoga and have a full workout room as well. Membership costs are pretty low too which we thought may be something to consider. Who wouldn't want to do a little rock climbing..go for a run...and finish off with a little yoga?! That is my kind of workout! We were also those obnoxious "first timers" who had to get a few snapshots of our first experience. They are below!
